Arnfinnur R. Einarsson graduated in 1993 from the Duncan of
Jordan Stone School of TV & Imaging in Scotland .
His works usually originate on Hi8 or S-VHS video and are then
further digitized, altered partially or wholly with computer graphics
technology.
Music, also by Arnfinnur, is added to accompany the finished pieces.
When asked why landscapes dominate his original sequences, he
answers that the camera serves as a drawing tool much like a pencil
or a pen. He claims to be sketching with the camera in such a way and that the choice of landscape has only textural value. It is not loaded with any particular meaning. It seldom has any point of attention or focus except for a general feeling of space and of course time.

Arnfinnur draws in real time and space with his video camera and the post production of his sketches, often technologically complex, are experimental creations of abstract time and space sculptures, made from the chosen textures.
