MARK REESE
is an award winning filmmaker and writer. He has produced, written,
and directed documentaries for PBS and ESPN. In 1996 his
highly acclaimed 5 1/2 hour series was aired in the United States, Japan,

While the series was being considered for an Emmy, Mark then teamed
up with Malcolm Jamal- Warner, the former Cosby kid, and began
production on an award winning educational documentary series about
race relations. Reese's latest film, Boys in Winter, was an official
selection of the 2001 New York International Independent Film Festival,
and was awarded the Grand Jury Prize for best documentary. Mark
begins filming for his latest documentary, The Last Beat Standing,
in 2002. The film is about the great American composer David Amram.
Mark also
plans to begin shooting his first feature film, The Myth of
Gunpowder Burns (4 short films about Sisyphus). Reese also
doubles as a writer and producer for National Public Radio.
A lover of the theater of the Absurd movement, Mark has directed
